This is something new here in my blog.  Usually I cover Teleseryes on the other network but for now its the teleseryes on the neighboring network.   This will eventually complete my network teleseryes.  hahaha! I got excited when I received the invite and the title of the teleserye is “Mga Basang Sisiw” which is a blogcon.  As I feature most of the blogcons before you know what happens during blogcons. 


So we came to the venue a little bit early, hahaha, isn't I too much excited?

Maxene Magalona came first, all the bloggers who were there early got an opportunity to interview her, alone.  I was very much amazed with her, this is my first time to interview and saw her.  She was so receptive and immediately answered all the questions thrown to her and she really talk a lot, really!  According to her this is the first time that she'll be a “kontrabida”.  On her previous show she was the one who's being maltreated but for now she is the one who's going to do maltreatment.  She is really excited to portray her "Kontrabida" role and according to her it is very challenging, “Lahat naman ng ginagawa natin mahirap, pero if you are doing your best you will give justice on the role that has given to you, I am happy at least now I am out of my comfort zone”.  I think this girl loves to talk, and she really know what she is really doing and she really focus on her craft.

Another artist is Bianca Umali, who is a very nice pretty girl that had grown up.  I remember this girl in the kids TV show Tropang Potchi.  My kids used to watch tropang potchi.   According to her this is her first major soap and she was very happy that she is now in the league of the big stars.  This is a new environment for her and she felt starstruck doing this teleserye with some of the big stars in showbiz.
 
We also interviewed Renz Valerio who also plays the role as one of the five siblings in the teleseryes.  According to him he likes his role very much because the characters that portrays is far from his real life.  He is the youngest in real life but on the Teleserye he is the eldest, so according to him this is very challenging.  It's ironic that in the teleserye he needs to take care of his other siblings while in real life all his family takes care of him.  He really like to be in showbiz since childhood and he said “this is a dream come true to be a true actor”.

Mga Basang Sisiw is a Filipino drama television series developed by Dode Cruz and produced by GMA network.  It premiered on June 3, 2012, replacing Unforgettable on the network's coveted Afternoon Prime block, and on June 5, 2013 worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV.  The series is inspired on Agustin Dela Cruz's classic Fiipino Film of the same title and topbilled by Lani Mercado, Raymond Bagatsing, Gardo Versoza, Maxene Magalona, Mike Tan and featuring Renz Valerio, Bianca Umali, Kimberly Faye, Hershey Garcia and Miko Zarsadias in the titular characters. The show is produced by Kaye Atienza-Cadsawan and directed by Ricky Davao. The series chronicles the story of five siblings – Justin, Fave, Shine, Cha and Mickey and their long and painful journey to rebuild their once happy family.

Last weekend I was able to witness the Four Sisters and A Wedding event UPCLOSE at Trinoma Mall, the event introduced the cast of the movie which is the first movie offering of Star Cinema for their 20th Anniversary celebration. Four Sisters and A Wedding is a story of four sisters trying to ruin the relationship of their younger brother who is ought to get married just because they don't like the girl.  It is a comedy movie having four renowned actress of this generation namely Toni Gonzaga, Bea Alonzo, Angel Locsin and Shaina Magdayao with the sole hunk and versatile actor Enchong Dee.  Of course the movie is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.

ABS CBN will air the first ever “Mr and Ms Chinatown Philippines” this June, following a deal signed by the network and the Miss Chinatown Foundation recently.

In what is to be a meeting of two cultures with shared values, “the search will redefine Filipino-Chinese beauty, pave the way for better business relations, and realize cultural and artistic goals,” said Alexis Sy Go, the National Director for Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Philippines 2013.

During the launch held in Binondo, Manila a total of 32 Filipino-Chinese candidates, split equally between females and males, aged 18 to 25, were formaly presented to the media and will compete for the prestigious title to represent the Filipino community in the country by the end of the month.

The female candidates include Jerene Tan, Robyn Kimberly Tan, Michelle Marie Sy, Rolini Lim Pineda, Jamie Chua Reyes, Lhowelle Lyka Tan, Sheryl Elaine Chua, Samantha Jade Dy, Maricon Cho, Hannah Dy, Frances Elaine Cham, Kimberly Nicoe Ang Mas, Aeryka Chua, Catrina Myka De Guzman Ang, Catherine Yao, and Anna Patricia Baesa Tan.

Since I am a full time mommy I need to take good care of my family.  There are lots of things to do inside the house but it is rewarding, especially if you will see your kids smiling back at you. 

School days have started already, my first kid is  a grown up already, I couldn't believe that my Maki is already in Grade 1 now.  So I need to monitor all his things, his assignments and most important his food. I need to prepare food religiously, from breakfast, baon, and his lunch.  Lunch time is the end of his school time everyday.

I just want to share the food that I usually prepare, the bread. I am not that artistic, my husband is the artistic one, but I try my best to show some good art in preparing the food.  I put 3 breads on my son's lunch box and put the "I Love You" message on it using the Magnolia Cheezee Squeezee, isn't amazing?  I am proud because Maki love it and he immediately whispered to me “thank you mommy”.  Well that's a very rewarding experience.

Hope next time I will do it again with some more artistic effort to make my kids really appreciate the food and for him to enjoy going to school.

I know I'm a Mom and I'm pretty much sure that you'll be asking what am I doing at the meet and greet of the The Philippine Rugby Team the Philippine Volcanoes at the Fila Stores in SM Megamall. Well, for one I have two boys, so I should know things about this rugby sports who knows my kids might asks questions about this sports so at least I have something to answer for them. Second, I'm a fan so this meet and greet is one way of showing my support for the Philippine Rugby Team the Philippine Volcanoes in their quest for the World Cup 2013 which will be held in Moscow, Russia this June. I think they'll be flying to Moscow end of this month. .




Right before the meet and greet, I was able to listen to the interviews and questions of the media people regarding Andrew Wolff's life and him being in the Philippine Volcanoes. Thanks to Mr. Andrew Wolff that he responded to all of the questions being thrown at him.


In support to the Philippine Rugby Team the Philippine Volcanoes fans and rugby sports enthusiasts bade their congratulations and good luck messages.
