For the 4th time in a row, Tupperware Brands Philippines supported World Vision Philippines in its annual running event aimed to raise funds for its Child Sponsorship Program. The huge and anticipated event spearheaded by World Vision Philippines kicked off recently at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds, with race categories ranging from 21k, 10k, 5k, 3k, and even a 500 m dash for kids. The Mall of Asia Grounds was packed and bore witness to the support of thousands of health enthusiasts, as well as partners and supporters of World Vision’s advocacy.

Since 2012, Tupperware Brands Philippines has pledged its support to World Vision’s advocacy. In fact, on their 19th anniversary, the company supported a total of 100 children in honor of its 100 outlet stores all over the country. “Tupperware Brands supports World Vision’s goal to have every child live life to the fullest while promoting an active lifestyle at the same time. Tupperware’s products uphold freshness for wellness, which is very complimentary to the activities of the event,” Mr. Jun Pangilinan, Tupperware Brands Philippines’ President and Managing Director, shares.
Since its introduction in 1966, Tupperware has been changing lives of Filipinos across the nation. “One way in which we celebrate touching and transforming lives, no matter what age or generation, is by teaming up with World Vision Philippines. The event started early for the runners, including Mr. Pangilinan himself who ran in the 21k race category. The program was injected with other fun activities including a Zumbathon, exciting raffle prizes, and a mini concert with the Perkins twins, Tippy Dos Santos, and Tricia Garcia

From June 5 to July 25, 2015 people from different walks of life were encouraged to send in video sound clips that matched Rebisco Combi's weekly themes. These clips were intended to be used in an extraordinary song in which all clips would be combined! For each time period, the best clips were selected and rewarded with cool Humlan headphones from notable audio specialist Urbanears.




The result was overwhelming. In just over a month, more than 500 video sound clips had been received, comprising a wide range of interesting and creative sound bites from sources ranging from household items to animals and even body parts! The best, however, was yet to come.

Last September 10, 2015, media friends and winners of the weekly themes met together at the URBN Bar & Kitchen in Bonifacio Global City for the launch of the Combi World's Biggest POPulation Song. Mixing the multitude of video sound clips received made a very entertaining sound to listen and matched with a video that fully highlighted how unusual combinations can give an amazing result.



The song created was revealed during the event while everyone is still on the hype of having fun with games and music. The night was hosted by none other than Cosplay Queen who is also known to effortlessly create quirky and eye-catching combinations of her own, Alodia Gosengfiao. Music and beat was brought by the Buganda Drumbeaters and the popular electronica maven Kat DJ.

The lively host closed the event by asking everyone to tune in for more Combi surprises, leaving attendees eagerly awaiting this. The fun continued after as Kat DJ's beats brought people to the dance floor to groove to her unique musical creations.

The fun that people had during this event just goes to show how unusual things can be combined for an amazing result. In that way, it was just like Combi, in which crackers, wafers and filling or cookies, wafers and filling are combined for a snack that is truly amazing and definitely delicious!

Just right before Holloween here's a spine tingling horror-thriller movie with a touch of comedy will perhaps let you enjoy err rather scares you when you watch this movie. It is the chilling and eerie setting that will definitely give you a jump off the seats with "Resureksyon".

"Resureksyon" is a horror-thriller movie that will definitely let you give a second look on places abroad that you'll be working. It is a story of a mom who leaves for abroad to look for greener pasture for her family and then something happens that one day, she was brought back to the country in a coffin and on it are markings with specific instruction.
Isabelle Daza's character is an OFW possessed by an evil spirit that later on become the leader of a pack of vampires. Jasmine Curtis-Smith is the sister who took care of the child played by Raikko Mateo. Paulo Avelino as the police officer, Sweet John Lapus as the Uncle and Nino Muhlach as the Mayor of the town. "Resureksyon" is directed by Alfonso "Borgy" Torre III and produced by Regal Entertainment and Reality Entertainment.

Aside from the powerful cast, state-of-the-art sound and special effects, moviegoers must also watch out for the confrontation scene between Belle, Jasmine and Paulo.

The gripping scene, which is oneof the film's highlights, took a few days to shoot but Direk Borgy notes it was worth the sweat.

Esoterika:Maynila will have a limited screening at the Shang Cineplex, EDSA Shangri La Mall. Produced by T.rex Productions in cooperation with the Film Development Council of the Philippines, ESOTERIKA:MAYNILA (global title: ESOTERICA:MANILA) stars Ronnie Liang and a muti-lingual cast of cross-cultural persuasions. Multi awarded Elwood Perez directs the screenplay by awardee, eminent critic and book author, Jessica Zafra. Rex A. Tiri is the Executive Producer.

The limited screening marks the firs time Esoterika:Maynila will viewed by the public following its successful premiere in Hong Kong. In August this year, Esoterika: Maynila held a successful gala screening at the 11th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

Esoterika, described by a reviewer as a wild, fascinatingly profound joy ride around Manila, has fetched glowing reviews form critics everywhere.
Joel David, professor at Inha University and founding director of UP Film Institutes, writes: "First with Otso and now with Esoterika: Maynila, Elwood Perez has demonstrated what was previously considered impossible: That a Filipino filmmaker can become even more creative and vital as an elderly citizen. Esoterika: Maynila has been picked by the ilipino Academy of Movie Arts and sciences to receive the 62th FAMAS Film Critics' Choice Award in ceremonies to be hel at Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila.

The film has also been invited to open the 22nd Filipino Arts and Cinema International Film Festival (FACINE) in San Francisco, California in October. Its director Elwood Perez will also be presented a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the growth and development of the FIlipino motion picture industry.

We love cats! I personally grew up with cats in our house. We love to cuddle and play with these very adorable pets that's why I am so excited when I heard that a cat cafe is up already and is catering to who else but catlovers.
