One of Michaela's highlights for 2017 is  their way of giving back to their patrons. Aside from producing and having quality products, they tend to give their customers something in return by simply having a meet and greet with one of their endorsers, Jak Roberto.
For those who doesn't know Jak Roberto that much, he is also known as the Pambansang Abs of the country, he is currently under the management of GMA Artist Center. His recent project was a primetime show entitled "Meant To Be" where he co-stared with Barbie Forteza. On the said show, Jak Roberto's character marked as Team Andoy or Team Pandesal. So in short his more known as Andoy.
Last June 25, one of Michaela's branch in 168 Mall in Divisoria, Manila held its Meet and Greet with Jak Roberto. As expected the store was packed with fans and mall goers. It was really crowded and there were too many customers who purchased some Michaela items just to have a chance to personally meet the actor Jak Roberto.





What I like about Jak Roberto is that he's accommodating and there were no dull moments with him. Michaela customers were all smiles when they left the store because they were able to meet their idol Jak Roberto.
Customers who lined-up for the meet and greet made sure that their cameras were always ready, especially when it was their time to have a moment with Jak Roberto. They were able to have a chit chat with him and of course the special photo session that they will definitely consider it as one of the special days of their lives.



As way of giving back to his fans, Jak Roberto did a special performance. He serenade the crowd with a song and of course made everyone feel how he acknowledge his fans. There were shouting and screaming heard when Jak went at the front of the store to give a chance of glimpse for his fans who would be able to join the meet and greet.

From the stellar visual effects to the out-of-this-world kilig brought by its vibrant characters, GMA Network’s local adaptation of My Love From The Star has undeniably become a nightly favorite of Kapuso viewers. Unfortunately, one of its beloved actors,Spanky Manikan who plays the role of Mr. Jang, cannot continue his character in the show as he is sick and needs to rest.

During the show’s early stages, the veteran actor expressed his excitement to be part of the hit Korean series and has declined other projects to focus on My Love From The Star. Gil Cuerva, who plays the role of his dear friend Matteo Domingo, is sad that he has to leave but wishes him well. “I think working with Tito Spanky is one of the best things that can happen to a new actor such as myself. He’s a man with so much wisdom and being the newbie that I am, I was always looking for someone I could ask questions from, get advice from and he was the perfect person to give me a lot of advice, a lot of tips. Ultimately, he is really a great actor to have scenes with and even though the time we spent together wasn’t that much, he somehow has been a mentor to me when it comes to acting. Sir Spanky, get well soon, we miss you. And I hope that our paths will collide again in the future,” he says.

Meanwhile, other members of the show also voiced their sentiments that they will miss having him in the show but understands that it is in his best interest to take a break. Glydel Mercado, who plays Lynelle Chavez, sings nothing but praises for the actor. “Si Tito Spanky, as a co-actor, siyempre alam nating lahat na napakagaling niyang aktor talaga. Ang galing niyang ka-eksena, madali siyang katrabaho kasi alam niya lahat ng gagawin niya once na dumating siya sa set. Tito Spanky, hope you get well soon and we’re praying for you and may God bless you always.”

My Love From The Star’s main antagonist Gabby Eigenmann, who portrays Jackson Libredo, also had a message. “Tito Spanky, get well soon and I pray that you get better any time soon. Of course umaasa ako na makatrabaho parin kita and it’s always a joy to be working with you. Mahal ka namin,” he says.

Moving forward, the series’ heads have casted Mr. Crispin Pineda to take over the role and are confident that he will competently portray the endearing and lovable character of Mr. Jang. (30)

A week ago, my family was craving for pasta. Yes, and the only branch closest to our place was at Fairview. We were settled to go out for dinner that time but nature got a plan of their own and poured a really heavy rain fall. We couldn't get out. So, we decided to have it delivered. We called the branch and ordered their Pasta Platter plus some pizza and other dish that our kids love.
Since the pasta platter is for big groups we shared it to my in-laws. The more the merrier and besides we couldn't just finish those pasta platters by ourselves.

This was shown in the bright faces of hundreds of running pairs who took part in the Robinsons Supermarket’s 10th Fit & Fun Wellness Buddy Run at the Parade Grounds of Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.

Our family, who woke up very early just to attend this run, participated and enjoyed the day. It was a fun and exciting day to be fit and healthy. The kids loved the event very much specially the food part. It was one of our way of having a great bonding weekend. This is not our first time to join, we already joined the event celebration a few years ago. This year is quite different because this the first time that our kids went along with us.
In line with Robinsons Supermarket’s wellness campaign to continuously encourage more people to choose and live healthier lifestyles, the Fit & Fun Wellness Buddy Run gave everyone an opportunity to partner with friends and family, and run together towards the finish line.

The country’s number one fast-food chain celebrates its biggest milestone to date with the opening of its 1,000th store in the Philippines at BGC Triangle Drive in Taguig City.

The well-loved Filipino brand has come full circle, from the time that it opened its first store in the late 1970’s with a modest ice cream parlor in Cubao, to becoming one of the most successful and reputable Filipino brands, and to date, Asia’s number one QSR brand.

From traditional to “modern tropical”
Jollibee’s 1,000th milestone branch in BGC Triangle Drive is the sixth Jollibee store in Bonifacio Global City and the 16th in Taguig. It features the latest modern tropical design concept that’s expected to appeal to customers of all ages, has a seating capacity of 350 people, and two (2) spacious and beautifully-decorated party areas that give-off a hip and refreshing vibe with colorful sets of furniture.

Creative murals also give the milestone store engaging and contemporary feel, starting with a 27-foot long drive-thru Jollibee Pinoy Art containing images of the Philippine Eagle, the carabao, and the sarimanok grabbing some Chickenjoy to bring home, while another artwork welcomes visitors to “a world of joy” at the parking entrance. Indeed, from the exterior down to the details, the 1,000th store is set to enhance the overall dining experience of customers.

1,000 Reasons to be thankful

To kick-off the celebration, Jollibee hosted a store blessing ceremony attended by valued business partners, government officials, and other special guests. Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) Chairman Tony Tan Caktiong, JFC Chief Executive Officer Ernesto Tanmantiong, JFC Philippines Country Head Joseph Tanbuntiong, and Chief Global Real Estate Officer William Tan Untiong unveiled the 1,000th store commemorative marker. This was followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony and official store blessing led by Jollibee Philippines President JJ Alano with Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary Nora Terrado, Ms. Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, and Jollibee BGC Triangle Drive Restaurant Manager Sharon Morendo.

“Many say that Jollibee is more than just a fastfood company. Yes, it is the home of the famous Chickenjoy and other great-tasting products. But more than that, it has been a part of Filipinos’ lives for generations,” said JJ Alano. “It has become synonymous to joy, family and cherished traditions.”
To further build on its Farmer Entrepreneurship Program (FEP), Jollibee Foods Corporation, through the Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF), is investing P10 million in a program that will educate and train 1,000 young farmers on agro-enterprise management, in partnership with academic institutions, NGOs, Local government units, and Social Enterprises across the country. This was symbolically presented by JFC Chairman Tony Tan Caktiong and JGF President Grace Tan Caktiong to Rowell Lopez and Lawrence Catabay, young farmers from Ilocos and Pangasinan who directly supply JFC through FEP. Implemented by JGF, FEP is one of the programs that aims to help Filipino families put food on their tables.

The store blessing program culminated in Jollibee’s well-loved tradition. “Here’s a toast to celebrate Jollibee Philippines’ 1,000th store milestone! May we continue to make Jollibee a source of pride, hope and joy for our fellow Filipinos here and across the globe!” said JFC CEO Ernesto Tanmantiong as he led the Chickenjoy Toast.
World-class Filipino singers, Morissette Amon and Darren Espanto, concluded the program with an electrifying performance of the Jollibee anthem, “Ang Sarap, Ang Saya Maging Pilipino”, adding a lasting inspirational tone to the joyful atmosphere.

Perhaps one of the grandest and most anticipated events in Jollibee history, the 1,000th milestone store opening is a month-long celebration packed with exciting activities for loyal Jollibee fans. From the Libreng Sakay around BGC to the grand store reveal and promos on opening day, patrons can look forward to enjoyable new experiences in the days to come.

As the doors of the 1,000th store finally opens to the public, celebrity guest and Jollibee endorser, Anne Curtis, is set to serve customers at the dine-in and drive-thru counters, while Jollibee and squad are slated to entertain event-goers with a friendly, energetic showdown with the UPeepz.

Our Cause

Arnel’s humble beginnings has shaped him into a man of goodwill. Majority of the event’s proceeds will go to the Arnel Pineda Foundation, Inc. (APFI), a non-stock, non profit, and independent foundation that provides underprivileged children quality education, health services and medical attention. Arnel and his family personally oversee the Foundation and are always present in its events.

The Celebrant

Arnel Pineda is the lead singer of celebrated American rock band, Journey. Since landing the coveted gig in 2007, he has showcased his powerful pipes at the biggest venues including the Hollywood Bowl, Wembley Arena, and Tokyo Budokan. He has collaborated with the likes of Foreigner, Deep Purple, Santana, Joan Jett, Rascal Flatts among others.

Arnel was born on September 5, 1967 in Sampaloc, Manila. After his mother’s illness and eventual death put the family in a dire financial situation, he volunteered to live independently, taking on odd jobs to provide for himself at the age of 14. At 15, he became the lead singer of the band, Ijos. In 1986, along with some members of Ijos, he formed Ammo and the band went on to win the Rock Wars contest. In 1988, Ammo won the Philippine leg of the Yamaha World Band Explosion and competed in Hong Kong for the finals. In 1990, Pineda and other Ammo members formed another band called Intensity Five which came first runner-up at the Yamaha World Band Explosion, with Arnel winning Best Vocalist. Arnel also fronted the bands New Age, 9mm, Most W@nted, and Zoo.
