Big names in the industry will sit as judges to see and scrutinize whether each of the 44 participants are truly Kalokalikes as there could only be one will emerge as the Ultimate Kalokalike who will bring home Php300,000.00. While the first runner-up and second runner-up will receive Php200,000.00 and Php100,000.00, respectively.

A Birthday Celebration....

It's been 2 years since I gave birth to my youngest son Gelo, and it was not that easy. Gelo was a pre-term baby, I gave birth when he was 7 moths and 3 weeks, that was too early, but I need to.

His birthday was on the 11th of May but we celebrated his birthday last May 12, 2013, he is now 2 years old.   He's Jolly and so happy on that day.  Though we wanted to celebrate his birthday on the 11th, unfortunately, we attended an important moment for our good friend Cristian, his wedding.  So we decided to celebrate Gelo's birthday on May 12.

It was a simple yet happy moment with our Family.  Guess what?  Almost all of our food were sponsored, hahaha!  Thank you for the Montas and the Demo Family for the wonderful simple and happy celebrations of our Little Gelo's birthday.

A Mothers' Day Celebration...

Aside of our Birthday celebration, the whole world is celebrating also the most important person in our lives...our Mothers..

Well, It's been 6 years now since I first celebrated Mothers' Day and yearly was wonderful.  I am bless with my 2 sons, Maki and Gelo. The start of the day was not that surprising, but as hour passed by, surprises started pouring in.  As I am about to prepared the food for my birthday boy, Ms. Chele of StratWorks came, and gave me a surprised treat from Jollibee.  I am very thankful that they acknowledge me as one of the Good Moms this Mothers' Day.

I will take this opportunity to thank Stratwork Family and Jollibee for a heartwarming treat.

At night my sister-in law Shierleen brought a white forest cake in addition to our food for mothers day celebration and of course the Max's Pata.

In one day, two celebration happened. A moment of a simple get together for our Family yet not the last for us. It was amazing day for us.

'Till next celebration...

Achievement is the sign of success. Big Drem will come true just like what happen to Yeng Constantino. She has been 6 years in the music industry. She started as the big winner of the Pinoy Dream Academy or PDA and continuesly perform here in the Philippines and abroad. Her list of chart-toppers came from her four albums which earned her the title as the Philippines' Rock Princess.

Her love for writing songs and performing eventually became a passion to bring back OPM back to the mainstream and give Filipino musicians the recognition from all over the world. Last year made that dream came into reality when she performed at the Academy of Rock in Manila. After that performance , her song “Salamat” was included in the syllabus of the Academy of Rock and people behind the school namely Jeremy Ward of Rockschool UK, Charles Lim and Priscilla Teo of Academy of Rock in Singapore decided to give her an Honorary Licentiate Diploma. Yeng is the 7th person to be give this award among artists from all over the world for being a top notch performer and musician.

Yeng went ot Academy of Rock Singapore to perform and receive this prestigious award. A technical glitch prompted Yeng to perform “Salamat” live without any hesitation. Impressing the management of the school for a second time, Yeng became Academy of Rock's ambassadress as she signed the contract last May 2 at the Academy of Rock School in Rockwell, Makati. A first collaboration of its kind, between an educational service provider and an international star, the award-winning brand from Singapore will count on Yeng's appeal as the Philippines' Rock Princess to be an example for all budding music stars from their academy to follow.

Founded in 2006, The Academy of Rock has dedicated the academy to teaching only rock and popular music. With the aim of living by their fundamental principles of raising musicality, nurturing individuality, inspiring creativity and promoting appreciation through fun, they have a unique teeaching setup that goes beyond that of a traditional music school. They provide lessons in the electric guitar, electric bass guitar, pop/rock vocals and drums for students of all ages.

A House is just one of life's necessity and I don't know what would be our life without a home, especially for Moms like me.

Amaia is one of today's residential brand of Ayala Land, Inc. that offers affordable yet quality homes for Juans.  As we know Ayala is well known for high standard of living and they are well know for great developments.   As Ayala land Inc, anchors their development on five (5) pillars - location, features and amenities, quality, buying experience and living experience, so is with their Amaia residential brand.

Recently lifestyle bloggers were invited to  witness what Amaia have for everyone.  Gladly I was one of those lucky ones who were invited.  I have been seeing and hearing Amaia on commercials and posters so Amaia is not that alien to me.  The only thing that is unknown to me is how their condos and houses looks great and affordable.  During the event, different properties in different parts of the country were introduced to us like the SCAPES, the SKIES, and the STEPS.

Amaia properties made everything interesting and convenient as most of the properties were located at the busiest places in the country.  Some of these places in Matro Manila are Cubao, Sta. Mesa, Avenida, and Pasig.  For provincial set there are properties in Tarlac, Bacolod, Bicutan, Sucat, Laguna, Cavite and Batangas.

Amaia Skies in Sta. Mesa and Avenida are the twin Manila projects launched in the 2nd quarter of 2012.  Amaia Skies in Manila is comprised of two (2) towers.  The first building was the 30-storey South Tower with 902 units located at Valenzuela St. corner V. Mapa Blvd., Sta. Mesa, while the second one was a 35-storey North Tower with 1,167 units located at Doreteo Jose St., Sta. Cruz Manila.  Both towers are very much accessible to transportation, malls, hospitals and schools.

For those who lives in the south of Metro Manila, Amaia Steps Sucat is near for you.  It is launched last November 2012 and now selling its 4th building.  Amaia Steps Sucat is a suburban lifestyle retail strip comprising of more than 30 retail shops, right along Dr. A. Santos (Sucat road).  With nine buildings each with an elevator, it is designed using a mix of linear and L shape configurations and arranged around a loop of better circulation.

Amaia Steps Bicutan Phase 1, is just 15 minutes away from the Makati Central Business District located along West Service Road, corner sun Valley Drive, Brgy. Sun Valley, Parañaque City.  It is also accessible from South Luzon Expressway via Bicutan Exit, and from West Service Road.  As usual with their properties Amaia Steps Bicutan Phase 1 is close to different establishments.

Amaia Steps Pasig Phase 1A was the first project in the East, luanched last December 2012 this mid-rise project was located along Eusebio Avenue, Barangay. San Miguel, Pasig City.  Nestled six (6) kilometers away from the Ortigas Business Disctrict and four (4) kilometers from C5 with nearby establishments like the Tiendesitas and Robinsons Galleria.

There's also an Amaia in Cubao called Amaia Skies Cubao with a total of 35 levels.  Indeed, Amaia only has the best interest of its present and future residents in mind as it continues to think of ways and means to provide safe, tranquil, beautiful home, spaces and havens that come at budget-friendly prices.

Amaia, quality and affordability are all part of the package.

Kids are kids, playful, happy all the time, enjoys every moments and cartoon likers.

As most of us have known Nickelodeon got plenty of activities for kids and recently, I was able to visit one of their Summer Festival together with my eldest son, Maki at Bonifacio Global City.

As we enter the venue, my son Maki was very excited to go around.  He was surprised when someone put a buri hat on him (a Filipino style of Hat).   The hat was intended for the little ones to let them enjoy the day even though the sun was really high and its temperature was really up that makes us in heat.   Some kids don't mind the heat and the sweat as long as they enjoy the event and the activities in every booth.  Aside from the hat, Maki received some freebies too  and kids love to have toys and other stuff to play with.

If you're a fan and frequent attendee of Nickelodeon's activities I am very sure you know why I'm very attentive and looks around often, because any moment we might get slimed.  Hahaha!  Guest sure did have a blast playing games and activities that shows Nick's different animated character and their shows like like Dora the Explorer, Kung Fu Panda, Legend of Korra, Team Umizoomi and the Winx Club. Those who love adventure can also climb, bounce and slide on the inflatable Bounce-A-Lot or get wet and slimed in the You Gotta See This Backstage Pass Machine to fell like a Nick star.

As part of the Festivities, The Sandugo Guardline also wow guests with their Flag exhibition, while the Buganda Drumbeaters adds color and music to the afternoon, And it's not a Nickelodeon event without the presence of your favorite Nickelodeon pals, SpongeBob Squarepants, Patrick Star, Dora the Explorer and her cousin, Diego

Nickelodeon Summer Festival is presented by Toy Kingdom, and co-sponsored by Air Asia, Chubby, Goddy Gulp Milk drink, Jack N' Jill Knots, Mega Blocks, Propan TLC, Selecta Paddle Pop, Skechers kids, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Guests particularly kids enjoyed the day despite the beat of the heat. The event made the family enjoy the bonding moment with their kids, explore and experience the outdoor activity.

For more information, visit nick-asia.com and facebook.com/nickasia.

Most of the time, my bonding moments with my kids are either indoor or outdoor. This summer, we did travel to the south but no further outside of the metro just to let my kids experience some socialization with other kids.  This is to let them give an opportunity to mingle and go out of their comfort zone (our house).

Timely that Nido Fortified and Science Discovery launched NFSDC's High Tech Facilities and their new advocacy.  My teammate for this specific event was Maki (my eldest son) We went to SM Mall of Asia to witness the said event.

First they did a program and some few games for the kids.  Mommies are so happy seeing their kids enjoy playing with other kids.  They informed us, mommies, in the event about the importance of  having quality time indoor or outdoor.  There are lots of activities to do, simple yet enjoyable, I guess mommies have lots of idea to express quality time with the kids .

For Maki and Me, this is an outdoor activity that we really enjoyed.  This visit at NFSDC was our second time so Maki is familiar with the venue, his favorite part of the tour was inside the Planetarium. He enjoyed watching and listening on the explanation particularly on the life cycle of stars.

NFSDC was launched in 2008, it is the country's first technology based, highly interactive Science Center in the Philippines. Nido Fortified and the Science Discovery center merged to reach the common path of helping kids reach their maximum potentials through the Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center.

But this year, they are set to take the journey to greater heights following a renewed partnership to launch a new advocacy campaign and unveil its new state-of-the-art planetarium with the most advanced and sophisticated theater system in the country.

Dubbed Yes You Can! Gallery & Mommy Caravan, the latest advocay of NFSDC revolves around the thought of promoting child development via effective and trusted collaborations. The very idea-it takes a TEAM to raise good and intelligent children. According to Mr. Arturo Carballo, Jr. Senior Operations Manager of the NFSDC says, "This team is composed of the mommies and the kids themselves.  For teams to do well, they need good teammates. We want to be the teammates you can rely on through the Yes You Can! Gallery & Mommy Caravan."

Through this Gallery & Caravan, NFSDC aims to offer mothers a venue to learn tips and techniques on how to raise a kid who is smart, intuitive and healthy which are the main qualities of a Yes You Can! child.

The gallery and caravan also lined up a list of family bonding activities ranging from interactive games, workshops, and kiddie attractions where kids can channel their creative energies.

So hurry mommies, try to visit the Nido Fortified and Science Discovery Center to experience their high tech facilities and to have a bonding moment with your little ones. NFSDC is a two-level facility at the SM Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City, and is open from Monday to Sunday, 10am to 10pm.
