Okay, this is not about a story to make you fall asleep, but it's about making your pocket less deep when you need to spend your money on essential things. Especially now, we are experiencing a crisis, not only of health but also with our finances. Yes, we're going to talk about budgeting, and this is probably one of the best skills that we, moms, are good with, extending whatever money we have. From groceries up to mortgages, we always check the finances. We do that together with our husbands.

Like any subject matter, we can always learn more all we need to do is study it and understand.

Why do we need to budget?

Here are a few explanations why we need to budget. The first is that we don't have enough resources, the second is we want to spend our hard-earned money on the right things we need, and lastly, that is to get us all through the hard times.

The word budget can mostly be associate with us moms. We're probably the ones who always do the groceries and pays for the expenses in the house. From small spices up to the payment of big mortgages, moms do the budgeting. Of course, there are also other situations where husband and wife help each other, but mostly the wife does it all.

Stick to your budget?

Our budget is like our guide. When we do our shopping or grocery, we consider it our trail like in a hike. As much as possible, we don't go out of that trail to keep us safe and avoid problems. When we shop, we already know what to pick. If we try to go astray from our budget, which is our guide, we'll end up getting confused on what to buy first. And we'll also end up spending more time contemplating on whether to buy it or not. So, that's how a budget works for us. It gives us direction and saves us time.

When looking for a house or even a vehicle, you always need to consider few things. Some of the things like the design, the size, and the budget.

Finding your desired items is easy. There's an abundance of it now in the market, like your dream car model or your dream house, but you always refer back to one thing, your budget. You'll consider it first to find the best dream house for your family or buy that vehicle of your dream. So, if you don't have that budget, well, it will still be a dream for you. That is why always consider your budget. At least, you won't get frustrated if you know that your budget will only be for that specific level.

How do you budget?

It is not easy to budget, but you'll get used to it if you always do it. For a mom like me who always does the budgeting in the house, it became so easy. All you need to do is understand first what you need.

If you're a bachelor or bachelorette living solo, you must think of your specific daily needs, your weekly needs, and finally, your monthly needs. Assess it first and tag the essential items. After tagging that's the time you start allocating. Since you're solo and you have that specific income, think of it as your specific budget. So when you allocate your monthly income becomes your budget. So, always think of the important ones.

If you're a big family, sometimes the expenses go beyond the income. So it is much better to have more than one source of income for a big family. Still, a budget is needed to get through with the monthly expenses. Just like the solo thing you try to think of the needs but this time for the whole family. Always sort out the important ones. Then that is the time to allocate.

More tips in budgeting, always have your list from the previous month so you can always compare and see what the things that you can get through the month without it.
