Angie's Smoked Fish Ala Bicol Express

As a mommy there's always the need to experiment and find new exciting recipes to be offered on the table for my family and most of my cookings are for our kids. So, This time I will share the dish that I cooked for my loving husband, there is a saying "to capture a man's heart is through his stomach". And since my hubby love all my cookings, I'm sure he'll love me even more with this dish.  He's not good in cooking and he does "Bacham" that's why he eats a lot specially on weekends.

The dish that I will share to all of you is just a simple dish that started from father's family line of uragons. Now handed to me to let my hubby taste it and love me even more.
The dish is called "Luto Luto" but I made a bit of improvement to that name to make it more interesting "Angie's Smoked Fish Ala Bicol Express". Since the dish is more on the spicy side and my hubby love spicy food too. What's more great about this dish is that you get to eat more than you should have because of its flavor. Healthy, economical and easy to cook.

Here are the ingredients and the procedures to cook this dish.
12 pieces Smoke fish (shreded)
1 glove of Garlic (minced)
2 pieces of medium size Onions (minced)
6 pieces of Tomato (minced)
5 pieces of Siling green (sliced about 1 cm)
1 piece of Labuyo (add more if wants to be spicy)
1/4 teaspoon of Salt
1/8 cup of Oil
1/2 cup of Water
Smoked fish are bought in packs so the number varries. Shred (Himay-himayin) the smoked fish.
Prepare all the ingredients like garlic, onion, tomato, siling labuyo, and siling green.
Place the frying pan on the gas range on medium fire.
Then put 1/8 cup amount of oil or less just enough to saute the ingredients.
When the pan and oil is heated saute the garlic, onion and tomato.
When it is done add the smoked fish, then stir to mix the flavors of the ingredients and the smoked fish.
Then put a little amount of water, about half cup, and a little amount of salt then let it simmer for a few minutes.
When it is ready, add the siling green then stir and presto all is done. If you want to be more spicy just add the Siling Labuyo.

Of course this needs a plating to make it more enticing to taste and eat. For a rice person it is a must to have enough steamed rice for this dish. it is tested because my hubby sometimes looses his diet.

It is simple, easy and affordable! A dish that your family will love. Most of the time this is our menu during breakfast, because we need to eat a lot in the morning.

So Mommies try it also and let your hubby taste it too!
