Our family is our strength. In everything that we do it is always for the welfare of our family. There is a saying "Lahat ay gagawin ng magulang, mabuhay lang ang kanyang pamilya" (Parents will do everything for their families). Yes, and it is true!
Recently, I was able to watch the movie "The Maid In London" which by the way currently showing in the Philippines. This movie will definitely touch your hearts. It is really worth watching for, most especially for those OFW and Families of OFWs.

Inspired by true events, a young mother, Margo (Andi Eigenmann) and her best friend, Faye (Alexis Navarro) are forced to cling to the edge of a knife so they could travel in the United Kingdom. They both plan to work there even without a work permit. With only six months visa, time is running out or they may face the risk of deportation.

Margo will face the unexpected event that will turn her life around. Whilst Faye finds the love of her life but under different circumstances, the relationship is not going well. She needs to sacrifice her true love in exchange for her freedom to stay.
Both of them are taking the risks so they could provide a quality life for their loved ones back home. They lived the life of fear; every day is like a battle trying to avoid getting caught by the immigration officers and just by thinking of it, it stress them more plus the hard work, and the emotional pain because of loneliness but for what it's worth it will show you what it gets to be the modern "True Heroes".

I was hooked with the story of "The Maid in London". Poverty is one of the reasons that most Filipinos leave the country to work abroad. Problems are piling up and the only solution uplift their lives is to work abroad. To them going abroad is the answer. You'll do everything just to work abroad.

Andi portraying the role of Margo learned more about OFW and have somehow a realization why they are called modern heroes. One of which is when she felt that she is also an OFW because she left her daughter here in the Philippines to shoot/work in UK for this movie. OFW misses their families that's what she felt, she misses her daughter.

Andi enjoyed filming "The Maid in London" she had a time to go around the city and visit the famous places in London.
In the film Andi is a great actress, she really portrayed it very well. You will feel the sincerity deep in her heart. We can really relate on the character. While Matt Evans is really a versatile actor, whatever role is given to him he really does it well.

On the other hand Polo Ravales is just as perfect for the role. His looks and acting wise is perfect and he really give justice to his role. You'll definitely love his role here.

Mommies this movie is one movie where we will all learn about OFWs, the hardship, the pain, and loneliness they suffer whenever they are faraway from their love ones. "The Maid In London" movie will surely melt your heart, a movie based on reality. What's more interesting about this movie is the portrayal of hope. There's always hope. Whatever situation we maybe in for now there's always hope. There is a saying that "There is still a rainbow after the rain".
