As a mommy, I always see to it that all the things needed when traveling are ready and easy to get.  You'll never know when and where you will need it.  The more accessible it is the better.  With kids you really need to be ready anytime and any where, just like a girl scout, "laging handa" (always ready).  Baby bags should always have the following, clothes, water, milk, tissues and of course wipes when they get dirty or you know what I mean.  Baby Wipes are handy and very helpful for me in cleaning my babies.

The organizers of the longest running balloon event in Asia – the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF): “A Weekend of Everything that Flies,” maintains its decision not to hold the 19^th PIHABF this year, but instead, prepare for a bigger event scheduled for February 12-15, 2015.

Every night my kids love to hear a story from me, so as a mommy that's my duty to them before they go to sleep. Mommy needs to be creative on this, there are different ways to tell a story to them. Story from the book, from the bible and from my own story (experiences that make my kids cheer up).

So this time, I told them about my own Birthday story which goes like this...

Once upon a time, there was a mommy who's celebrating her birthday. On the day of her birthday, her eldest son asked her “Mommy where is your birthday celebration, where are the foods?” and then Mommy said, “Tomorrow is going to be our mini celebration, because today daddy is not here because his working.”

And the kids waited, then the next day, Maki, the eldest son excitedly kissed mommy and said “Let us celebrate Mommy's birthday today!” So the whole family went out and travel to reach their first stop. They went to a resto inside the mall, they spent their lunch and enjoyed it.

Afterwards, Maki asked again Mommy “Where are the spaghetti, pizza, cake and ice cream Mommy?”. The kid is really eager to celebrate the special day of his Mommy and he only knows it through the usual food that he sees served during birthday celebration. So after the lunch, Mommy ordered Fruit Platter with Ice cream on top as our dessert. So the eyes of the kids, specially the eldest one, widened and hurriedly eat first the ice cream before the fruits.

After that sumptous lunch they headed on to another mall and ate their merienda. “Mommy are we going to eat now here a pizza, cake and spaghetti?” Maki asked. “Yes, baby we are going to eat here a pizza”. Another table of food, served pizza, vegetable salad and a chips. Daddy eat most of the food specially the pizza as well as Maki, they loved the pizza very much.

That was the Birthday escapade of Mommy with her Family, two different resto in two different malls. So the family went home with a tummy filled and full.

The day isn't over yet and Mommy needs to go out for another tasty night at Figaro together with some blogger friends.

So the kids let the mommy went out and when she's about to go out the kids run to her and kissed her and whispered “Happy Birthday Mommy, We love you!” Mommy smiled back to them and whispered, “Thank you, Love you both”. So, Daddy and the kids stayed in the house while mommy went out.

Mommy head on to her third Mall and the last place for the day. This time, Mommy enjoyed the food at Figaro very much. Unexpectedly, Figaro served what mostly people brought during birthday celebrations which is the spaghetti and sandwiches. It seems that this was an extension of the mini celebration. There are different variants for Pasta like the Arrabiatta, Carbonara, Al Tonno and Pesto. Among those variants Mommy loves the Carbonara. On Sandwich, Mommy liked the Tuna and Cheese but there are also Grilled Chicken, Bacon Lettuce and Tomato, and the Grilled Eggplant. Mommy got so bloated with this food experience. It was really an unlimited pasta and sandwiches for Mommy.

“That was nice Mommy,” Maki said. “You know what kids, Mommy loves the Tuna and Cheese very much, it is healthy while the Carbonara is very creamy.”

So Mommy finished all the food and ordered another round of Sandwich, the BLT (Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato).

 “I was going to get another set of Al Tonno Pasta (Tuna Pasta) with BLT and Arabiatta Pasta and Grilled Eggplant but it was too much for Mommy already”.

Mommy finished the food with 3 rounds of Lemonade. Mommy got a full tummy and is very anxious to tell what Figaro has to offer for everyone.

Another movie that will definitely be enjoyed by movie goers.  Fresh from its critical and box-office triumph in the recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival, Star Cinemas continues its 20th anniversary celebration as it opens 2014 with a bang with Bride For Rent – a romantic comedy starring Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.

The Kim and Xian tandem in their previous movie "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?"and in their primetime series "My Binondo Girl," and the "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" created a truly kilig love team.   Their love team are loved by their fans and are looking forward for more of them, that's "Bride For Rent" is sure to be watched by moviegoers. 



Bride For Rent is a hilarious love story centered on Rocco Espiritu (Lim) and Rocky Espiritu (Chiu) who are both in desperate need of money. Rocco needs to get married to have access to his sizable trust fund while Rocky on the other hand is frantic for rent money lest her whole family gets evicted and homeless.

Rocco conspires with Rocky who agrees to act as his “pseudo wife” in exchange for a huge “talent fee.” A series of sidesplitting problems arise as Rocco and Rocky implement their deceitful plot. Would their plan work or would it backfire on them with the possibility of them developing actual feelings with each other?



It should be noted that Bride For Rent is the very first film collaboration between Kim and Xian after their 2013 smash hit Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo? The film also features the grand comeback of Asia’s Queen Of Songs Pilita Corales to the big-screen as she portrays a very special role.
