Century Tuna celebrates 20 years of Superbods by reminding Filipinos that fitness is for everyone

Century Tuna marks the 20th anniversary of Superbods by launching the Superbod Life Community, a welcoming fitness movement that encourages Filipinos of all ages and fitness levels to embrace healthier lifestyles—without pressure or judgment.
For many moms, finding time to focus on health often feels like another task on an already overflowing to-do list. Between work, family responsibilities, and everything in between, fitness can easily become something we promise ourselves we'll start "next week."
That was the first thing I thought about when Century Tuna unveiled the next chapter of its two-decade-old Superbods campaign. Beyond celebrating toned physiques or impressive transformations, the brand is now putting the spotlight on something far more relatable: creating a community where simply showing up, and starting, is already worth celebrating.
As it marks the 20th anniversary of the Century Tuna Superbods, the brand is expanding its message beyond the runway and into everyday life through the launch of the Superbod Life Community, encouraging Filipinos to embrace what it calls their own "Superbod Era."
Fitness isn't just for athletes anymore
One thing that caught my attention wasn't just the anniversary itself but how the campaign shifts the conversation from appearance to accessibility.
Instead of focusing on achieving the "perfect body," Century Tuna emphasizes that becoming a Superbod is about building sustainable habits, whether you're taking your very first walk, returning to exercise after years away, or simply trying to make healthier choices each day.
The message appears to be resonating.
The recently launched Superbod Era Strava Challenge attracted more than 58,000 Filipinos from different ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels. The strong response highlighted a growing desire among Filipinos to belong to a supportive community where progress is celebrated without comparison.
To bring that sense of community offline, Century Tuna also held its first Superbod Life Community Run in partnership with Megaworld, gathering fitness enthusiasts alongside Century Tuna Brand Ambassador Atasha Muhlach and Super Bowl Ambassador Emilio Daez.
A community designed for real-life fitness journeys
Beyond the announcement, what makes the initiative memorable is its focus on people rather than performance.
The Superbod Life Community was created as a judgment-free space where members can access practical fitness guidance, nutrition advice, motivational stories, and expert insights—whether they're beginners or longtime fitness enthusiasts.
Instead of overwhelming members with complicated routines, the community revolves around three simple pillars:
- Move Super focuses on achievable workouts, expert Q&A sessions, and community meet-ups that encourage consistency.
- Fuel Super offers realistic nutrition tips, from quick meal ideas to healthier snack alternatives that fit busy lifestyles.
- Live Super highlights everyday wellness habits that support long-term health beyond exercise alone.
It's one thing to hear about healthy living, but seeing it presented in a way that fits ordinary schedules makes the idea feel much more attainable.
Making fitness feel less intimidating
Century Pacific Food Inc. Vice President, General Manager, and Group Business Head Carlo Endaya shared that the company recognized one common barrier many Filipinos face when starting their health journey.
"We realized that many people, especially beginners, hesitate to start their fitness journeys because they often feel like getting into fitness is complicated, like it is something only a few can access and pull off."
He explained that the Superbod Life Community was designed to change that perception by offering a safe environment where members can learn from experts while drawing inspiration from fellow Filipinos pursuing similar goals.
"At Century Tuna, we truly believe that everyone has the potential to reach their 'Superbod Era'—they just need the right place to start."
For Atasha Muhlach, the initiative stands out because the inspiration comes not only from ambassadors but also from the experiences of ordinary community members.
"What makes Superbod Life so special is that inspiration doesn't just come from brand ambassadors like us, but from the real-world stories, shared struggles, and genuine experiences of the everyday people you'll meet in the community."
Nutrition remains part of the equation
Of course, fitness isn't just about movement.
Century Tuna continues to emphasize balanced nutrition as an essential part of achieving health goals, highlighting its protein-rich products that provide vitamins and minerals to support active lifestyles.
Among its newest offerings is the Century Tuna Super Bowl, a ready-to-eat tuna-and-rice meal in a can that contains protein, Vitamin B3, and Omega-3 DHA.
Emilio Daez shared how the product fits into his busy schedule.
"I finally have a nutritious meal I can take anywhere to my runs or gym sessions. With the Century Tuna Super Bowl, it's a ready-to-eat meal option that perfectly fits an on-the-go professional schedule. Bonus treat for many Filipinos is that you get all of this for only P29 per can."
What's next for Superbods
Century Tuna has also officially opened pre-registration for Superbods 2026, with aspiring participants invited to join the upcoming casting call.
But perhaps the bigger story isn't just the search for the next Superbods.
It's the growing reminder that fitness doesn't have to begin with a gym membership, expensive equipment, or dramatic transformations. Sometimes, it starts with finding a community that reminds you it's okay to begin exactly where you are.
And for parents juggling work, home, and countless responsibilities, that may be the most encouraging message of all.
